CUSTOM FIREPLACE MANTEL BUILDING

A custom designed and build all oak fireplace mantel that was built, stained, and finished to this homeowner’s specifications. Creative Ideas Carpentry By Brian Tenney offers a variety of fireplace mantel services including fireplace mantel building services and fireplace mantel installation services.

BUILT IN CABINETS WITH SHELVES

Creative Ideas Carpentry By Brian Tenney was hired by this family for custom built-in cabinets with shelving for the family room. These cabinets can also be great for the living room, dinning or any other room in your home. They also wanted some room remodeling done as well, new recessed lighting and crown molding installation. Four large base cabinets with shaker style doors and four upper cabinets with open shelves with decorative trim were designed and built. All the custom cabinets were painted semi-gloss white to match the existing trim color. The homeowners specified they also wanted outlets on the left and right sides of each level of shelving including the top. The lower cabinets also have outlets left and right. The top that is on the base cabinets is 1 ½” thick and custom made with a homeowner selected finish detail. The top of the upper units has crown molding and the bottom of the base cabinets has base board installation done for a nice trim details.

CUSTOM BUILT IN CABINETS WITH CAPTAINS BED

Creative Ideas Carpentry By Brian Tenney was hired for a universal design project of a home. Part of the homes new design included an area where custom cabinets were to be made along with a captain’s bed configuration. The new upper cabinet has shelving, trim and outlets, the base cabinet has shaker style doors with a shelf inside and large enough to handle an allotment of storage. The custom cabinet making of the captain’s style bed with under the bed storage was a must have for this homeowner. The baskets make getting to items easily and quickly when needed. Finished with a head board and side board. There are new outlets placed where needed. This was part of an overall 900 square feet universal design home renovation and remodeling project. It is also a great fit for anyone with handicap, ADA or aging in place needs.

HALL TREE WITH BENCH AND STORAGE AND HOOKS WITH WINDOW SEAT

Creative Ideas Carpentry By Brian Tenney was hired by these homeowners for custom cabinet building. They wanted to add more storage, an organized entryway they needed. They also wanted a window seat with storage. The cabinets are all made of solid wood. The built-in hall tree with storage bench has crown molding and two shaker style doors. It has four large hooks for hanging your coats, backpacks, and other items. There is a shelf above for storing smaller items like gloves and hats. The lower storage area has two doors that once open, offers a large area for storage. The built-in window seat has four matching shaker style doors. There are two separate storage areas with plenty of room. Providing a nook for relaxation, reading, extra seating. All the doors have matching cabinet door knobs. The new cabinet configuration has a new toe kick register and there are over all new trim details. The base and shoe molding is matched to the existing trim for a more cohesive appearance. Window seats can be for living room, kitchen, bedroom, home office, and other areas of the home.

BUILT IN CABINETS WITH SHELVING, WAINSCOTING AND CHAIR RAIL

Custom built in cabinets with shelving and decorative trim was part of a remodeled and finished basement project for a family. Along with the basement finishing the cabinet making, staining, and cabinet finishing was all performed by Creative Ideas Carpentry By Brian Tenney. Outlets were installed to the left and right sides of the new cabinet configuration. Access all the shelving to plug in all those decoctive items. There is new custom carpentry trim finish with all the cabinets. There is new chair rail and wainscoting installation with bead board and installation of new 5 ¼” colonial base board trim with quarter round. There were also several additional changes and upgrades made to this area of the home by the homeowners.

MUDROOM BENCH WITH COAT HOOKS AND STORAGE

Mudroom benches and hall trees are very similar in concept and design, just depends where you locate things in your home. This mudroom next to the garage was part of a water damage repair from frozen pipes. Although the mudroom bench with storage hooks was there to start, it had to be removed and reassembled back into place. There was a broken bottom of the cabinet along with other problems. We made some carefully thought-out changes to the cabinet design and added some nice finish trim details. A new bottom for the built in cabinet unit was made, a new cabinet section was built and a new face frame was made. The decorative brass section adds not only a classic touch but also serves to allow heat to get to the water meter. A nice finishing touch of two coats of white semi-gloss paint was applied. Removing and reassembling cabinet sections like nothing ever happen! The mud room was then given all new coats of paint to the ceiling, walls, and trim. This is a custom cabinet design and build for these homeowners who also have special needs. The new built in cabinets are in their living room where the front windows and door are located. There is a custom built in cabinet seat with storage underneath specially designed as a place to seat and get yourself ready to go out or after you come back in. There is a custom built in cabinet bookshelf under the window and a full-size custom built in bookcase cabinet with fully adjustable shelving alongside. New base board and quarter round trim was installed to tie in the room. The painted finish, two coats of white semi-gloss paint was applied and makes the custom cabinets look like they were there all along. Radiator Covers, Custom Built in Radiator Cabinet Cover For A Home From the 1930’s

This home from the 1930's has a lot of great architectural and finish trim details. Having experience with homes from 1790 to present and understanding the homes original design and details; a cabinet design that goes beyond just being a radiator cover. A modern custom design and build radiator cover blending the homes Art Deco and Art Moderne period with clean lines and geometry giving an updated look while staying within homes finish trim design. The custom built in radiator cabinet under the large window configuration in a wide living room with high ceilings was also done with energy efficiency in mind. The new custom built in cabinet is approximately 14'0" long by 28” high and 12” deep. This new built in cabinet is made of oak and poplar, has a brass covering in front with union jack pattern along with decorative trim details. This also provides additional shelf space in front of the windows. The cabinet making and finishing were done to the family’s specifications and request. There are two coats of white semi-gloss paint applied to match the interior trim finish and making the new custom built in cabinet look like it was there all along.
