Hand Rail With Cherry Finish
Hand Rail Replacement, 2800 Sq. Ft. Addition:
As the renovation of the 2800 sq. ft. addition progressed it was decided to remodel and install a more aesthetically correct rail system. It was also found that the existing rail was not installed to the best of standards and had a lot of movement. In addition the hand rail that went to the basement area was not continuous and seemed out of place.
After the old rail system had been removed, a new shoe in longer lengths was installed. The original was done in pieces. With some refinement of the area the start of the new rail system could begin. Photo is property of Creative Ideas Carpentry By Brian Tenney.

Before this rail system was installed everything was made of wrought iron; like you would find on the exterior entry of a home and it was painted black. These home owners not only wanted a new rail system but something that would make a statement. When you enter their home, this is the first area you see. Everything was finished by us.
